Dubai’s first Bulgari resort to open in December

The futuristic city of Dubai is home to some of the world’s swankiest hotels and condominiums. Think the ultra-luxurious Burj Al Arab towering over 1,000 feet in the air, the beach-front Palm Dubai Resort featuring exquisitely modern arabesque design, and JW Marriott Marquis Hotel Dubai, the tallest hotel in the world.

When Bulgari Hotels & Resorts announced that it was opening a resort in Dubai, we were hardly surprised. It’s a brand that’s synonymous with luxury. Some of its properties are located in the world’s most prestigious cities or resort destinations including the likes of Milan, London, Bali and Beijing. Once opened, Bulgari Resort Dubai will be the fifth property under its portfolio of hotels operated by Marriott International.

Following Bulgari Hotel Beijing’s opening in September this year, the luxury brand has (finally) confirmed the opening date of its latest property. Bulgari Resort Dubai is slated to welcome its first guests on 7 December 2017, after experiencing delays from its initial launch date of Q1 2017.

The resort is part of the 158,000 square-metre Bulgari Resort & Residences Dubai, a first-of-its-kind development for the brand — both in scale and magnitude. The expansive complex will not only feature the resort (with 101 rooms and suites and 20 villas), but also six residential buildings offering 173 sea-facing apartments, 15 private mansions, and the brand’s first-ever Marina and Yacht Club.

Jumeira Bay is a manmade island carved into the shape of a seahorse.

The complex is situated on the exclusive Jumeira Bay off the coast of Jumeirah Beach Road, an island carved into the shape of a seahorse, accessible by a 300-metre bridge to the central Dubai coastline.

And as with every other Bulgari resort, The Bulgari Resort Dubai is designed entirely by renowned Italian architectural firm Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel and Partners. Its interiors and architecture marry the brand’s distinctive style with Mediterranean influences as an ode to its location.

Guests can indulge in a wide range of amenities including a 1,700-metre Bulgari spa equipped with eight treatment rooms, as well as a 25-metre indoor pool boasting breathtaking sea views through floor-to-ceiling glass windows. If that doesn’t tempt you to book a flight to Dubai for the end-of-year holidays, we don’t know what will.
