This Dior high tea in London is setting some major #travelgoals

A trip to London cannot be complete without an elaborate afternoon tea. And The Berkeley, London, is giving one all the reasons to make sure it finds a spot on your itinerary with their new Dior-inspired high tea (#TravelGoals ).
As the Victoria & Albert Museum hosts an extensive exhibition on the design house, ‘Christian Dior: Designer of Dreams’, the hotel has launched a new menu that commemorates the house’s most iconic creations over 71 years. The afternoon tea is a part of their Prêt-à-Portea, Berkeley’s signature designer-inspired high tea that is influenced by the world of fashion.

The 1949 Junon Dress, famously worn by Theo Graham at Le Pré Catalan in Paris, makes an appearance on the menu. As does the Bar Jacket, which was first showed on the ramp as a part of the ‘New Look’ in 1947, and has come to personify Dior — a chocolate biscuit with light cream royal icing celebrates it.

The Miss Dior perfume takes form as a lychee and raspberry cake, the Lady Dior handbag which was gifted by France’s then First Lady, Bernadette Chirac, to Lady Diana, comes sandwiched with strawberry ganache and iced with red glaze. As one contemplates whether to bite into these or simply admire them, have your pick from the array of cakes, fancies, biscuits, and bakes.
The afternoon tea treats are paired with Berkeley’s selection of loose leaf teas as well as taster spoons, canapés, finger sandwiches, and savoury skewers. A high tea that celebrates Dior — it doesn’t get more proper and English than this — and this season’s Prêt-à-Portea menu deserves a stop by if one’s making their way to London.
